Terms of Service

Welcome to SystemCity (https://systemcity.io), an AI-powered system design learning platform operated by Mohit Kumar, located at Verma Niwas, Near Shiv Mandir, Phagwara Chowk, Hoshiarpur — 146001, Punjab, India (hereinafter referred to as "we," "us," or "the Platform").

By accessing or using SystemCity, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

You may sign in via Auth0-based authentication (Google, GitHub, or email). You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at systemcityio@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

SystemCity provides:

• Curated system design problems across multiple difficulty levels
• An interactive design canvas with 70+ system components
• AI-powered architecture evaluation using third-party models (OpenAI, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude)
• Credit-based AI evaluation — users purchase credit packs to access AI features
• Option to bring your own API keys (BYOK) for AI providers at no credit cost

Credits are a virtual currency used to pay for AI-powered evaluations on the Platform. Credit packs are available as one-time purchases at prices listed on the Pricing page.

• Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value
• Credits do not expire
• All prices are in USD and processed via Stripe
• You will receive a confirmation email from Stripe upon successful purchase

Since credits are a digital product, the following refund terms apply:

• All credit purchases are final. Since credits are a digital product delivered instantly, no refunds will be issued once credits are delivered to your account.
• Technical failures: If a payment was charged but credits were not delivered due to a technical error, we will either deliver the credits or issue a full refund within 5–7 business days.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the Platform's services
• Share, resell, or transfer your account or credits to another person
• Submit malicious content through the canvas or API
• Circumvent rate limits, security features, or access controls

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without refund.

All content on the Platform — including problem descriptions, reference architectures, UI design, code, and branding — is owned by SystemCity or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Your architecture designs and saved work remain yours. We do not claim ownership over content you create on the canvas.

AI evaluations are provided via third-party APIs (OpenAI, Google, Anthropic). We are not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or content of AI-generated responses. These services are subject to their own terms of use.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SystemCity shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or interruption of service.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to the Platform in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
